Description
Imperial County is soliciting fully burdened hourly rates for as-needed, on-call hauling of asphalt concrete mixes and aggregate materials from commercial suppliers to county road maintenance projects. Vendors must furnish bottom-dump trucks with trailers for asphalt concrete and either bottom-dump trucks with trailers or 20-cubic-yard construction end dumps for aggregate materials. Rates must include trucks, operators paid applicable prevailing wages, fuel, lubricants, maintenance, insurance, travel, waiting time, overhead, profit, and all other costs; the County will purchase the materials separately. Assignments may involve approximately 10–12 trucks for asphalt work or 3–5 trucks for aggregate work, generally with 3–5 working days' notice, while emergencies may require weekend or off-hours response with little notice. The County anticipates multiple on-call agreements and has allocated a total fiscal-year 2026–2027 budget of up to $300,000, with no guaranteed quantity of work. Vendors must hold applicable licenses and provide required licensing, insurance, business-license, and DIR-registration documentation.
