BID NOTICE Sealed bids will be received by Ascension Parish Government at the Ascension Parish Government Purchasing Office, 615 E. Worthey Street, Gonzales, Louisiana, until September 15, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. local time. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for the following: New Heavy Hauler Lowboy Truck CAB: Day Cab TRUCK: TRACTOR TYPE: LOWBOY HAULER ENGINE: Minimum: 560 HP LA. R.S. 38:2212 (T) (2) Whenever in specifications the name of a certain brand, make, manufacturer or definite specifications utilized, the specifications, shall state clearly that they do not restrict bidders to the specific brand, make, manufacturer, or specification named; that they are used only to set forth and convey to prospective bidders the general style, type character, and quality of the product desired and that equivalent products will be acceptable. Unit to be received/ delivered to 42077 Churchpoint Road, Gonzales, LA 70737. Bidding Documents may be obtained at the Ascension Parish Government Purchasing Department located at 615 E. Worthey St. Gonzales, LA 70737. Electronic Bids are accepted at Central Bidding. Central Bidding can be accessed at http://www.centralauctionhouse.com. The Ascension Parish shall not be responsible if the bidder cannot complete and submit a bid due to failure or incomplete delivery of the files submitted via the internet. Description
Ascension Parish Government is soliciting sealed bids for one new heavy hauler lowboy truck tractor. The requested vehicle must be a white day-cab tractor with a minimum 560-horsepower engine, 88,000-pound GVWR, 140,000-pound GCW, 20,000-pound front axle, 46,000-pound rear axle, 23,000-pound pusher axle, 250-inch wheelbase, EPA-compliant emissions, and heavy-haul equipment including air-ride suspension, aluminum fuel tanks, fifth wheel, ramps, air brakes, aluminum rims, and specified driver and passenger features. Equivalent products are acceptable where the specifications identify a particular brand, make, manufacturer, or definite specification. One unit is to be delivered to the designated Gonzales, Louisiana delivery location.
