Description
Ascension Parish Government's Transportation Department seeks dump trucks with drivers on an as-needed basis to haul hot-mix asphalt concrete from a private asphalt plant to the Parish asphalt paving machine at various locations. Trucks must be Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development certified, have a rear spreader or the ability to mount one, and include a tarp. Drivers must hold a Class B commercial driver's license and clean their own tailgate and dump bed. The solicitation states that drivers may be contacted two to five days before a workday. It requires insurance with a standard minimum policy of $750,000 to $1,000,000. Public-works bonding, contractor licensing, and an Exhibit A form may also apply under the stated conditions.
