Description
Butte County is soliciting bids for as-needed delivery of clean sand suitable for sandbags and related transfer-trucking services during declared emergencies or disasters. The scope includes transfer trucking in valley and mountain areas, pilot-car services, equipment hauling, and other hourly trucking services, with sand priced by ton. Contractors must respond within two hours of a County call and have the capacity to deliver up to 40 truckloads, at 24 tons per truckload, within the first 48 hours of an initial request. Deliveries may be directed to various County locations identified at the time of each release or order. Bidders must complete and sign the two-page IFB cover sheet and Specification #1, including pricing, maximum dollar caps per load, delivery capability, and 24-hour contact information. Pricing must remain firm for the first three years, with permitted escalation of no more than 5% annually in years four and five. The County may award multiple contracts and does not guarantee a minimum or maximum quantity. Contractors must provide required personal protective equipment at no additional cost when needed and must maintain the insurance coverage specified in the solicitation.
