Description
The City seeks a venue manager for year-round amphitheater operations, either for the full scope or for selected services. Responsibilities may include event production, talent acquisition and contracting, marketing and ticketing, sponsorship development, staffing, food and beverage operations (including alcohol sales), and traffic, parking, and event logistics. The manager is expected to support a mix of concerts, festivals, performances, community programming, and facility rentals, and to provide event, monthly operational, quarterly financial, and annual audited financial reporting. The venue manager must also provide a detailed five-year financial pro forma and a cost proposal covering the full contract term. The initial term is three years, with up to four one-year renewal options. Proposals must include a transmittal letter and company profile; experience and qualifications, including at least three comparable references from the past five years; project understanding; operational approach and methodology; a financial plan; a cost proposal; any exceptions to the sample contract or a proposed sample contract; and the specified compliance forms and subcontractor information. The qualifications proposal is limited to 35 double-sided pages, excluding City-required forms. The current management contractor is identified as VenuWorks, which uses Ticketmaster as its ticket provider.
