Description
MHC 2027: The Next Lap is seeking qualified individuals, firms, consultants, or teams for one or both of two roles: Crew Chief (Project Manager) and Track Manager (Event Consultant). The selected contractor(s) will support an 18-month, season-long celebration spanning late 2026 through 2027, including race-weekend activities, community partner events, and a signature mid-summer festival with potential concerts, fireworks, a soapbox or downhill derby, manufacturing showcases, workforce engagement, and motorsports heritage programming. The Crew Chief scope includes master planning, timeline and partner coordination, sponsorship and funding support, communications, event readiness, reporting, impact measurement, and post-event documentation. The Track Manager scope includes site and operational planning, permitting and safety coordination, vendor scopes, event-flow and run-of-show development, derby logistics, weather and contingency planning, and on-site setup, event-day, and breakdown support. Proposals must identify the role or roles proposed and include qualifications, comparable projects, approach and work plan, team information, deliverables, pricing, references, and required disclosures. The anticipated budget is $345,000.
