Description
The University of Missouri System is seeking bids for one HIP, nuclear-grade beryllium reflector made from S-200-FH grade beryllium and one AA6061 aluminum support skirt for the University of Missouri Research Reactor. The reflector must meet specified chemical, mechanical, physical, density, grain-size, and inspection requirements, including chemical analysis, tensile testing, density testing, liquid penetrant examination, 100% radiographic examination, and ultrasonic examination. Finish machining must conform to the referenced reactor drawings, and the supplier must provide small coupons from the same material stock for on-site testing. The supplier must provide a certificate of test in triplicate covering the required analyses and examinations, demonstrate successful comparable beryllium machining completed within the last two years or an approved alternative timeframe, provide nuclear-grade beryllium references, and submit a detailed manufacturing and delivery schedule. The contract term is five years from award, with pricing firm for the initial term. Delivery is FOB destination, and the award will be based on the lowest bid meeting all specifications.
