Description
The City seeks one or more contractors for on-call earth moving work at designated projects. The scope includes grading, excavation, site preparation, hauling, equipment and operator services, construction of building, road, parking lot, ballfield, trail, pond, lake, wetland, and dam features, and related seeding, mulching, erosion-control, and restoration work. The City will provide project-specific scopes and specifications with purchase orders and coordinate priorities and schedules as projects arise. Bidders must provide hourly labor and equipment rates, unit prices, and percentage markups using the supplied pricing pages. The City may award to multiple vendors and may offer a one-year initial term with four one-year renewals. Performance and labor and material payment bonds are required for designated public improvement projects exceeding $50,000; the contract also specifies insurance requirements. Subcontracting requires prior City approval, and the attached standard specifications require at least 50% of contract work to be performed by the contractor's own forces and equipment.
