Description
The City seeks a qualified operator to manage and maintain Southern Skates as a public roller-skating and event facility. The operator will provide admissions, skate rentals and related sales, event bookings, concessions, staffing, janitorial services, building and equipment maintenance, utilities, security, marketing, and financial and operational reporting. The facility must be open for skating and special events at least four days per week, and the operator will develop operating policies, proposed rates, annual budgets, and plans to maximize facility use and support capital needs. The proposer must demonstrate relevant skating-rink management experience and provide a detailed operational and financial proposal, including staffing, maintenance, marketing, utilization, revenue sharing, and transition plans. The contract term is five years with one five-year renewal option. The solicitation requires four references and evaluates experience, approach, cost, local preference, and DRIVE-related participation and engagement.
