Description
Utah County is seeking a professional management firm to operate the Utah Valley Convention Center, a 144,500-square-foot facility with an exhibit hall, ballroom, breakout meeting rooms, rooftop terrace, pre-function space, full-service kitchen, support areas, and offices. The selected operator will provide comprehensive day-to-day management, maintenance, custodial services, security, event setup and teardown, scheduling, booking, marketing, sponsorship and promotional services, staffing, accounting, budgeting, purchasing, contracting, reporting, and coordination with local hospitality and tourism organizations. The proposal must address the firm's qualifications and convention-facility experience, management, marketing, operations, financial, and compensation plans. Respondents must provide a first-year budget, three-year operating pro forma, proposed base and incentive fees, capital-investment commitments, audited financial statements for the previous three years, recent facility-management experience, and at least three professional references. Food-service operations may be proposed either as excluded from the management contract or included within it. The anticipated contract term is ten years, terminable by the County after the third full year, with a possible additional five-year extension by mutual agreement.
