Description
The City seeks a qualified contractor to provide preventive and unplanned maintenance for gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, exciters, control systems, balance-of-plant equipment, and related systems. Work is on a time-and-materials basis and may include inspections, repairs, replacement and installation of parts, and sourcing capital parts for GE 6B gas turbines. The contractor must provide qualified supervision, craft workers, technicians, tools, and equipment; third-party technical services may be subcontracted. Quotes must be submitted for City authorization before each project begins. The pricing schedule requests labor rates and prices for inspection and repair of turbine components, combustion and generator inspections, borescope inspections, mobilization, equipment rental, materials, and percentage markups. The proposal also requests company and relevant project experience, key personnel qualifications, a performance plan, and applicable licenses or certifications. Performance and labor-and-material payment bonds are required for individual projects exceeding $50,000; prevailing wages apply to projects exceeding $75,000.
