MCDA Cheer & Dance Championships is soliciting proposals from a variety of venues, including convention centers, sports complexes, universities, arenas, fieldhouses, and multi-court facilities, to host their cheerleading and dance competitions. These events are typically held between November and May, and MCDA is seeking partners for the 2027-2028, 2028-2029, and 2029-2030 seasons, with a strong preference for multi-year agreements. The ideal facility should offer a minimum of 50,000 to 150,000 square feet of usable event space, preferably with unobstructed floor space and a minimum ceiling height of 20 feet. Key requirements include a climate-controlled, ADA-compliant environment with adequate spectator seating and parking, reliable electrical service, and Wi-Fi availability. The facility must also be capable of accommodating competition floors, warm-up areas, registration, awards, and hospitality areas, as well as vendor and spectator spaces. Event operations require Friday load-in access and Saturday/Sunday event dates, with early morning building access and facility staff support. MCDA prefers facilities that offer non-union labor, no food and beverage minimums, reduced ancillary fees, flexible concession policies, and marketing support opportunities. Information on hotel partnerships, including room rates and availability, is also requested. Proposals will be evaluated based on facility suitability, cost-effectiveness, geographic market opportunity, hotel and parking availability, ease of load-in/load-out, staff support, previous event experience, and overall value.
