Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is conducting market research for recurring preventive maintenance and repair services for reusable medical devices, including general and specialty surgical instruments, laparoscopic instruments, and sterile container systems. Work includes inspection, sharpening, adjustment, refurbishment, calibration, insulation testing, component replacement, and final functional testing. Repairs to sterile containers must use original equipment manufacturer replacement parts when needed to maintain applicable compliance and warranties. Services are to be performed primarily onsite using a mobile repair van, three times per month during normal business hours, with each visit lasting one eight-hour service day. Repairs may be completed at the contractor’s facility when necessary. The contractor must provide qualified technicians and related coordination and submit monthly progress reports.
