Description
Columbia Public Schools seeks proposals for leased lit fiber transport and leased dark fiber to connect five district locations to its existing wide area network. The requested solutions include 20 Gbps lit service using diverse connections or four strands of dark fiber capable of 10 Gbps and scalable to 40 Gbps. Dark fiber proposals must include ongoing maintenance; installation and special construction costs must be itemized. Respondents may bid on either or both service options and on individual or all locations. Proposals must include service descriptions, service-level agreements, implementation timelines, network diagrams, demarcation details, three relevant customer references per service option, and Connect America Fund status for each site. The district requests pricing for either a three-year initial term with two optional one-year extensions or a five-year term. The solicitation also requires an E-Verify affidavit and a completed contractor notification and confirmation form with the proposal. Insurance documentation is required from the successful bidder at contract execution, not with the proposal.
