Description
Columbia Public Schools is seeking proposals for two alternatives to connect five district locations to its existing wide area network: fully managed leased lit fiber and leased dark fiber. Lit fiber must provide dedicated 20 Gbps throughput through dual diverse 10 Gbps connections, while dark fiber must provide four single-mode strands capable of 10 Gbps and scalable to 40 Gbps. Responses may cover one or both alternatives and may cover individual locations or all five locations. The scope includes service to designated network closets, installation and special construction, recurring service or lease charges, maintenance, service-level agreements, network diagrams, construction roadmaps, demarcation details, references, and Connect America Fund status. Dark fiber proposals must include ongoing 24/7 maintenance with a two-hour response commitment and four-hour restoration target. The requested contract structures are either a three-year initial term with two optional one-year extensions or a five-year term. Proposals must include the provided bid forms, an E-Verify affidavit, an asbestos notification and confirmation form, an E-Rate supplemental terms certification, pricing, and the required technical and service information.
