Description
The Employment Development Department is soliciting a contractor to provide 24-hour, seven-day central-station monitoring of existing fire and intrusion alarm systems; 24-hour daily alarm testing; annual fire alarm inspections in accordance with NFPA 72; and as-needed maintenance, repair, replacement, programming, service calls, and emergency services. The contractor must provide trained and certified personnel, all necessary labor, materials, tools, equipment, permits, and licensing, and must be UL certified for alarm monitoring, maintenance, repair, and testing. Normal service is required during business hours, with same-day emergency response and 24-hour emergency service capability. The contract term is November 1, 2026, through October 31, 2029. Pricing must include monthly monitoring, annual inspection, and hourly as-needed maintenance and repair rates; the solicitation estimates 24 maintenance and repair calls over the term. The contractor must hold a valid California C-7 or C-10 license, may not subcontract the work, and must submit written estimates for authorized repairs. Required bid materials include the cost proposal and calculations worksheet, bidder declaration, contractor certification clauses, debarment certification, Darfur Contracting Act certification, STD 204 Payee Data Record, and a copy of the C-7 or C-10 license, along with other applicable documents identified in the checklist.
