Description
The State of South Dakota Department of the Military, on behalf of the South Dakota Army National Guard, is seeking a contractor to provide continuous fire and emergency alarm monitoring for 36 facilities statewide. Services include programming cellular dialers to communicate with the contractor’s central station; monitoring fire, supervisory, and trouble signals 24 hours per day, seven days per week, including holidays; providing web access for system monitoring, testing, and history review; and supplying account and monitoring-station information. For fire alarm signals, the monitoring station must first contact the appropriate responding fire department and then the South Dakota Army National Guard Fire and Emergency Services Manager. Supervisory signals must be reported to that manager, while all fire, supervisory, and trouble signals must be emailed immediately to the designated address. Performance must comply with applicable ANSI standards, NFPA 72, the National Fire Code, and Underwriters Laboratories 827 requirements. The proposal must include an RFP form, executive summary, detailed technical response, cost proposal, and required prior-contract information, with printed and electronic copies submitted as specified.
