Description
The U.S. Department of Transportation intends to award a sole-source purchase order to Versar Security Systems, LLC for an upgrade to the existing Versar-installed security system, along with annual preventive and corrective maintenance and monitoring support. The work includes upgrading end-of-life equipment supporting integrated Lenel and Bosch access-control and alarm platforms at the Department's Continuity of Operations Center. The notice states that Versar installed and has maintained the existing system, is a Lenel and Bosch certified company and distributor, and partners with SETEC for monitoring services supporting sensitive and SCIF spaces. The estimated total price is $77,207.85. This is a sole-source special notice rather than a solicitation; interested firms other than Versar may submit a statement of qualifications to challenge the proposed sole-source award.
