Description
Hillsborough County intends to make a sole-source award to Siemens Industry, Inc. for one year of ongoing and as-needed maintenance, monitoring, repair, and replacement services for proprietary fire alarm systems. The scope includes annual testing and inspection, smoke-detector sensitivity testing, central-station monitoring, emergency and routine repair services, compatible parts and materials, batteries, trip charges, on-site support, and remote technical support. The systems require manufacturer-specific software, diagnostics, programming, passcodes, and factory-trained technicians. Services include 24/7 coverage, two-hour phone/online response, four-hour emergency on-site response, NFPA 72-based testing and documentation, and monitoring at County Center and Edgecomb Courthouse. The estimated one-year cost is $80,012.50, with the County reserving the right to extend the term, modify the scope, and increase the award. This is a notice of intent to award a sole-source contract, not a competitive proposal request; interested contractors may submit clear and convincing information challenging the intended award.
