Description
The Employment Development Department is soliciting a contractor to provide 24-hour, seven-day central-station monitoring of existing fire and intrusion alarm systems; annual fire alarm inspections and testing in accordance with NFPA 72; and as-needed maintenance, repairs, replacement parts, service calls, programming, and emergency response. The contractor must provide trained and certified personnel, UL-certified monitoring, customer software support, documentation updates, loaner equipment when needed, and same-day or next-business-day normal service response, with 24-hour emergency service availability. The contract covers a three-year term from November 1, 2026, through October 31, 2029, or upon final approval. Bidders must hold a valid California C-10 Electrical Contractor or C-7 Low Voltage Systems Contractor license. The solicitation states that no subcontracting is allowed to circumvent competitive bidding and that subcontracted services may not exceed 25 percent of the bid. Bids are evaluated based on the lowest monthly fire and intrusion alarm monitoring cost. Insurance certificates are due upon award rather than with the bid.
