Description
The Town of Bridgton is soliciting proposals from qualified mechanical contractors for the replacement of the existing heating and domestic hot water systems serving its Town Office building. The base scope includes removal and disposal of the existing oil-fired boiler and water heater; furnishing and installing a high-efficiency oil-fired boiler, burner, controls, safety devices, circulator pumps, glycol solution, and related piping, venting, and accessories; reconnection to existing fuel-oil and hydronic systems; testing, commissioning, documentation, and owner training. The solicitation also requests separate pricing for an alternate 80-gallon ENERGY STAR-certified or equivalent hybrid heat pump water heater, including associated piping, valves, expansion tank, condensate management, startup, testing, commissioning, and training. Proposals must include company information, qualifications, comparable project experience and references, equipment details, pricing for each option, warranty information, and the contractor’s earliest available start date and anticipated completion duration. Contractors must be licensed and insured in Maine, have at least five years of commercial hydronic heating experience, and have completed at least three comparable boiler replacement projects within the past five years.
