Description
Huntsville Independent School District is soliciting competitive sealed proposals for a turnkey HVAC system replacement and humidity remediation project at its Support Learning Center office building. The scope includes removing existing rooftop outdoor-air units; supplying and installing five Quest high-efficiency dehumidifiers or equivalents with weatherproof enclosures, racks, roof curbs, ductwork connections, hallway return-air configurations, controls, and high-voltage power; and disposing of removed equipment in accordance with environmental requirements. The project also requires supplying and installing 22 three-ton heat pump package units rated at a minimum of 15 SEER with 5 kW heat strips, 208–230V/1/60 electrical service, side-discharge configurations, and motorized outside-air dampers. Additional work includes duct-hood and metal-pan repairs, high-voltage electrical work, reconnection to the existing low-voltage building automation system, ductwork repairs, system startup, personnel training, warranty and maintenance documentation, permitting, and coordination with other trades. Contractors must perform a site visit to be considered, and work must be completed by licensed and experienced HVAC professionals.
