Description
Portland Water District seeks a contractor to provide comprehensive cleaning services from 2027 through 2029 at facilities in Portland and Standish, Maine. The scope includes routine office, restroom, locker-room, breakroom, reception, hallway, and training-center cleaning; vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, dusting, waste removal, floor care, and periodic deep cleaning. The contractor must provide cleaning supplies and equipment, including ladders and extension equipment where required; the District will provide specified paper products, hand soap, trash liners, and certain towels. Services also include carpet steam cleaning, tile stripping and refinishing, window and high-glass cleaning, HVAC diffuser and intake cleaning, refrigerator cleaning, and laundering and restocking approximately 30 District-provided towels per week. Bidders must submit annual lump-sum prices for 2027, 2028, and 2029. Evaluation will be based on price, and subcontracting requires prior written District approval.
