Description
The City of Lewiston is soliciting bids for complete replacement work at the Foss Road 2 and Sabattus Street sanitary sewer pump stations. The scope includes removal of existing Smith & Loveless suction pump dry-well units; extension of existing six-foot wet wells with precast concrete barrel sections; new submersible pumps, ductile iron piping and fittings, transducers, backup floats, check-valve vaults, electrical transfer switches, service lines, meters, conduits, wiring, VFD/control panels, and backup generators; sewer bypass operations; force-main connections; and related sitework. The plans and specifications govern the required materials and installation. The project includes a bid alternate for additional bollards at both stations. Street-occupancy, excavation, electrical, and traffic-control requirements apply, including submission of a traffic-control plan. The revised completion date is June 18, 2027, subject to possible revision based on supply-chain issues.
