NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS INVITATION FOR BIDS The Maine Judicial Branch is conducting a competitive bid process for the Renovations at 250 Goddard Road in Lewiston, Maine. Bids will be opened and read aloud by the Maine Judicial Branch at 2:00 p.m. October 29, 2026. The work consists of interior renovations to approximately 1,200 square feet including selected demolition, new partitions, flooring, ceilings, and associated mechanical and electrical modification. Description
The Maine Judicial Branch is soliciting sealed paper bids for interior renovations to approximately 1,200 square feet at 250 Goddard Road. The work includes selected demolition, new partitions, flooring, ceilings, and associated mechanical and electrical modifications, including changes to fire alarm devices, lighting, power, telecommunications, HVAC ductwork and piping, finishes, doors, hardware, acoustical elements, and window shades. The Owner will occupy the existing building during construction, so the contractor must maintain operations, protect occupants, and coordinate work to minimize disruption. The project is planned as a single general contract. The contractor must attend the mandatory on-site pre-bid conference, submit the completed Contractor Bid Form and required bid security, and perform the work in accordance with the project manual, specifications, and drawings. The contract documents identify substantial completion on or before December 31, 2026, and final completion on or before January 31, 2027; however, the notice to contractors separately states January 29, 2027, for substantial completion and February 12, 2027, for final completion, so the conflicting dates require clarification.
