Description
The City of Detroit seeks proposals from qualified, authorized Duro-Last contractors for the replacement of approximately 10,000 square feet of flat, ballasted membrane roofing at the Detroit Police Department's 3rd Precinct. The work includes assessment and engineering, permits, debris and ballast removal, installation of a 40-mil white Duro-Last roof system and Geo-Tech cover sheet, flashing, walkway pads, termination bars, fascia, pitch pans, drain boots, dome strainers, conduit supports, and an additive alternate for removing existing roofing and installing a single layer of new 2-inch insulation. The contractor will be responsible for project management, constructability and cost-control services, scheduling, onsite supervision, subcontractor coordination, safety, equipment, site protection and cleanup, progress reporting, closeout documentation, and warranty support. The installation must include 15-year manufacturer labor and materials warranties, including the Duro-Last Bullet Proof Warranty. Minimum qualifications include at least 10 years of comparable roof replacement and construction experience for municipalities or governmental facilities and authorized Duro-Last contractor status. The contract term is two years, and payment and performance bonds each equal to 100% of the contract value.
