Description
San Bernardino County announces the availability of 2027-28 Community Development Block Grant funding for eligible cities and nonprofit organizations. Proposed projects must support decent housing, suitable living environments, or expanded economic opportunities for low- to moderate-income individuals and communities, address slums or blight, or respond to urgent community needs. Eligible activities include public services such as senior services, health services, legal services, and employment training, as well as capital improvement projects involving infrastructure, neighborhood facilities, and special-needs facilities. The County anticipates approximately $4.7 million for eligible projects and programs within its CDBG Urban County program, including approximately $2.6 million for participating cities; amounts are estimates subject to the final federal allocation. The program year begins July 1, 2027.
