Description
Plains Township Board of Commissioners is soliciting bids for replacement of the existing roof at the Plains Township Municipal Building, including removal and replacement of roofing materials and insulation, replacement of deteriorated metal decking, roofing membrane installation, flashing and trim, roof drains, curbs, penetrations, walkway pads, and related incidental construction. The work is structured as one prime contract with lump-sum and unit-price bid items; the bid form identifies estimated quantities of 5,040 square feet for roof demolition and replacement and 500 square feet for deteriorated metal decking replacement. Bidders must submit the electronic bid form, bid security, qualification information, required affidavits and certifications, and proposed subcontractor and supplier information. The project is subject to Pennsylvania prevailing-wage requirements. The successful bidder must furnish performance and labor-and-material payment bonds, each equal to at least the contract price, and must maintain the insurance required by the contract documents. The contract provides for substantial completion within 60 days and final completion within 90 days after commencement of the contract times.
