Description
The County of Santa Barbara Sheriff's Department is soliciting a 12-month lease and servicing arrangement for a water conditioning system serving domestic water needs. The system must maintain conditioned water at 20 PPM or less, support minimum weekly usage of 200,000 gallons, and include six 45-cubic-foot Flomax soft-water exchange tanks—or an approved equivalent—with each tank capable of handling up to 200 GPM. The contractor must provide all standard equipment and accessories, inspect and address connection requirements for the existing six-inch service main, supply required shutoff and bypass valves, use the owner-provided connection manifold and 250-square-foot concrete pad, locate the equipment outside the facility buildings, and provide a haul-off or exchange-type system that does not discharge brine onsite. The scope also requires delivery, warranty coverage for parts and labor, and 24/7 emergency work. Bidders must submit pricing, detailed equipment literature, compliance or deviations for each specification, at least three similar current-account references, and the completed bidder questionnaire and specification-and-quotation worksheet.
