Description
The County of Santa Barbara is soliciting bids for construction work at Cachuma Lake Recreation Area. The contractor must remove and replace approximately 2,000 feet of water distribution line, appurtenances, hydrants, and interconnections, and repair approximately 3,000 square feet of pavement. The successful contractor must possess a Class A license when the contract is awarded. The work is subject to Davis-Bacon federal wage rates, California prevailing wage requirements, Department of Industrial Relations registration, and compliance monitoring. Work must be completed by December 31, 2026, after issuance of the Notice to Proceed; liquidated damages are $150 per day for contractor-attributable delays. A mandatory job walk is required for prime contractors to qualify to bid.
