Description
The City of San Buenaventura is soliciting a contractor for as-needed painting services, including all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and supplies. The scope includes painting; wood sanding and staining; drywall repair and replacement; cove base and baseboard replacement; written estimates; scheduling and coordination; final inspections; record keeping; invoicing; site protection; cleanup; and repair of contractor-caused damage. Paints, primers, and wood stains must comply with current Environmental Protection Agency requirements and be low-VOC. Dunn-Edwards products are required unless otherwise approved. The contractor must provide written estimates within five business days of a request and may not begin work until the City approves the estimate. The contractor must hold and maintain either a California Class B General Building Contractor license or Class C-33 Painting Contractor license. Personnel must meet applicable safety, training, security-clearance, fingerprinting, and background-check requirements. The proposal must address company capabilities, responsible personnel, staffing, references, pricing, litigation and disqualifications, exceptions, and other evaluation information. The agreement has a one-year initial term with four additional one-year options, for a maximum total term of five years. Subcontracting requires the City's prior written consent. Insurance is required before contract commencement, and prevailing-wage requirements may apply to qualifying work.
