Description
The California Department of Water Resources is soliciting a contractor to provide small and medium construction equipment rentals on an as-needed basis for its Southern Field Division. The equipment schedule includes trenchers, compressors, jackhammers, skid steers, loaders, backhoes, aerial lifts, compaction and concrete equipment, forklifts, trucks, trailers, generators, light towers, water tanks, portable air-conditioning units, office trailers, specialty vehicles, and other listed equipment. Rental rates must be provided on daily, weekly, and monthly bases, and bidders must bid every listed item. The contractor must deliver requested equipment to designated jobsites, retrieve it when directed, maintain and repair the equipment, provide preoperational safety briefings and training when requested, and respond to availability requests within 24 hours. Equipment is generally required within 48 hours of a request and within four hours during emergencies. All equipment must comply with California Air Resources Board requirements. The agreement is anticipated to run for three years with two additional one-year renewal options. A minimum three percent Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise participation commitment is required, and bids must include the specified certifications, references, licenses, compliance documentation, and other bid forms.
