The City of Ventura is inviting bids for the removal and replacement of one (1) ADA compliant vertical platform lift at the Dudley House, a historic 1891 Victorian home. The scope of work includes demolition and removal of the existing lift and components, completion of concrete work to meet ADA requirements, removal and replacement of existing pony wall and wood siding, strengthening the existing wall, installation of vertical steel posts, electrical work including a 30-amp, 600-volt, 3-phase unfused disconnect switch, call station, and light, and obtaining the necessary building permit. The contractor must provide and install a California ADA compliant, exterior rated, pass through lift system with a minimum 750-pound capacity, DC motor, 72-inch maximum lifting height, and various safety features. The contractor must also provide a one-year warranty, obtain Cal/OSHA Elevator Safety Section inspection, and be a certified Vertical Platform Lift installer with a California Class C11 Elevator Contractor license. The project requires a mandatory pre-bid meeting, and bids must be submitted in both hard copy and PDF format.
