Description
Alabama Community College System is soliciting sealed proposals from previously prequalified general contractors for mechanical equipment relocations at J.F. Drake State Technical Community College. The project is locally funded and requires bidders to be properly licensed under Alabama requirements. Bid documents will be distributed electronically by the architect only to prequalified general contractors; subcontractors must obtain documents through a general contractor or plan room. A mandatory pre-bid conference is required for general contractors intending to submit a proposal. The bid must include a cashier’s check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the bid amount, capped at $10,000. Performance and statutory labor and material payment bonds, along with required insurance, will be required at contract signing. Proposals must exclude taxes and include the required ACCS Form 5-A Accounting of Sales Tax Attachment with the ACCS Form 5-E Proposal Form.
