Description
The City of Oxnard is soliciting bids for lump-sum repairs at 99 predetermined neighborhood locations. The work includes asphalt concrete dig-outs and repairs, base preparation, saw cutting, compaction, disposal of excavated materials, concrete repairs, curb and gutter repairs, sidewalk repairs, traffic-striping restoration, and furnishing all required labor, materials, equipment, traffic-control devices, permits, and incidental work. Certain moratorium roads require full-width, curb-to-curb pavement restoration. Materials and construction must comply with the Greenbook, City standards, Caltrans traffic-control requirements, and applicable stormwater regulations. The project has a 140-working-day completion period following issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Bidders must hold a valid California Class A General Engineering Contractor's License, comply with prevailing-wage and Department of Industrial Relations registration requirements, and self-perform at least 50% of the contract work, excluding designated specialty items. A 10% bid security is required by the bid deadline; the successful bidder must provide 100% payment and performance bonds and required insurance after award. Bids are evaluated on the lowest responsive, responsible total bid price.
