Description
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is conducting market research and requesting comments on a draft request for proposal for the Navajo Area Abandoned Mines Response and Construction Services II requirement. The anticipated future contract would provide cleanup, response, and construction services primarily at former uranium-mining-related sites on or within the Navajo Nation in Arizona and New Mexico. The work is expected to involve radiological material handling, environmental data interpretation and collection, hazardous-substance cleanup, and construction activities in rough terrain with limited roads, scarce water, and extreme weather conditions. This notice is for comment only and is not a request for proposals or a commitment to award a contract. The anticipated acquisition is a single-award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, with a formal RFP anticipated in fall 2026. Responses should provide the business name, SAM Unique Entity ID, business address, business size and type under NAICS 562910, and an authorized point of contact's name, telephone number, mailing address, and email address.
