Description
The City of Palm Springs is soliciting bids to establish primary and secondary on-call contracts for as-needed restoration and remediation services at City-owned buildings and facilities. The scope includes response to water, fire, smoke, sewage, mold, lead, asbestos, environmental, and other unanticipated damage; contents manipulation and disposal; drying, dehumidification, sanitization, deodorization, antimicrobial treatment, cleaning, demolition, carpentry, drywall, concrete block, stucco, asphalt, finishes, and related restoration work. Contractors must provide labor, equipment, materials, supervision, site protection, cleanup, documentation, estimating, budgeting, and compliant off-site disposal or salvage of waste. The contract uses unit pricing for labor classifications, asbestos and contaminated-waste disposal, parts and materials, equipment rental, and subcontractor markups. No specific amount of work is guaranteed. Bidders must have at least three years of relevant nonresidential experience, maintain Department of Industrial Relations registration, and possess a California Class C-22 asbestos contractor license, valid California Department of Public Health certification, and current EPA Renovation, Repair, and Painting firm certification. The bid package requires the supplied forms and references, and the selected contractor must meet specified insurance requirements and provide payment and performance bonds at contract execution.
