Description
Yavapai County is soliciting bids for the supply of approximately 10,000 tons of fill material as needed during the contract term. The material must be natural aggregate or another approved inert material consisting of clean, hard, strong, durable particles, meeting the specified grading requirements under ASTM C-136 and C-117. Material will be measured by the ton using computerized truck weigh tickets and may be sampled and rejected if it does not comply with the specifications. Bidders may provide material for plant pickup or supply and deliver it. Pricing must include a per-ton plant-pickup rate and a separate delivery rate per mile. When given five days' advance notice, the vendor must supply and/or deliver ordered material; the County may separately procure delivery services. The estimated quantity is not guaranteed, and the County may make multiple awards based on factors including price, proximity between the plant and job site, truck size, and material and loading availability.
