Description
The University of Oregon is soliciting bids exclusively from contractors holding a current University of Oregon retainer contract for construction services. The project will repurpose an existing covered structure into a two-bay vehicle wash station at the CPFM yard. Work includes demolition and site preparation; grading and concrete paving; trench drainage and a sand-and-oil interceptor; sanitary, non-potable water, propane, and stormwater utility connections; two tankless propane water heaters; pressure-washing equipment connections; electrical service, panelboard, receptacles, lighting, and equipment connections; gutters and downspouts; a three-sided concrete masonry unit equipment enclosure with steel roof and gates; bollards; coatings; signage; and associated testing, commissioning, and training. The pressure washer, air compressor, vacuum system, and storage cabinet are identified as owner-furnished or by others where noted. The contract is a lump-sum, fixed-price public improvements contract awarded to the lowest responsive bid from a responsible bidder. Bidders must be registered with the Oregon Construction Contractors Board at bid submission and comply with Oregon prevailing-wage requirements. The project is anticipated to be completed by December 16, 2026. Performance and payment bonds are required if the contract price exceeds $100,000, and the documents require builder’s risk, commercial general liability, automobile liability, workers’ compensation, and other specified insurance coverage. The bid package includes a completed UO Retainer Contract Bid Form, with an optional alternate for an additional hot/cold hose bib at the southwest structure column.
