CITY OF ALBANYNFPA 1582 MEDICAL EXAMINATION SERVICES Proposals Due by 2:00 p.m. (Pacific Time), Wednesday, September 16, 2026 REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS RFP#260812Notice is hereby given that the City of Albany (City), Oregon, is requesting proposals from qualified and experienced medical providers to perform National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1582-compliant medical examinations for the Albany Fire Department (AFD). The purpose of these examinations is to evaluate the medical fitness of fire department personnel to safely perform essential job functions and to support compliance with applicable standards and best practices for occupational health and safety. The term of the contract will be for one year, with options to extend the contract for two additional, two-year terms. The scope of service includes, but is not limited to: · Perform required medical evaluations, screenings, and testing as outlined in NFPA 1582. · Review and document medical findings and fitness-for-duty determination. · Maintain confidentiality of medical information in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. · Provide required reports and documentation to employees in a timely manner. Solicitation documents may be downloaded from the City of Albany's website on the City's Purchasing Page, under Finance, or examined at Albany City Hall, Finance Department, 333 Broadalbin Street SW, Albany, OR 97321, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There is a $35 charge to receive a printed copy of the documents. It is imperative that those who download the solicitation documents check the website regularly for addenda, clarifications, and other notifications that may be pertinent. Proposers are solely responsible for checking the website to determine if addenda or clarifications have been issued. Submit questions regarding the solicitation to contracts@albanyoregon.gov. All proposal responses must be submitted by electronic means at the respective project's Bid Submittal Location. All proposals must be received not later than 2:00 p.m., (Pacific Time), Wednesday, September 16, 2026, or any extension of the time made by addendum. Proposals will be considered time-stamped and received by the City at the time indicated on the City's email confirmation response. The electronic submission shall include the project number and name "RFP# 260812, NFPA 1582 Medical Examination Services". Proposals received after the closing date and time will not be opened or reviewed. There will be no formal public opening. Proposals shall be valid for 120 days after opening unless otherwise specified. The City may reject any proposal not in compliance with all prescribed solicitation procedures and requirements and other applicable law and may reject any or all proposals in whole or in part when the cancellation or rejection is in the best interest of the City, and at no cost to the City.
