Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is soliciting a firm-fixed-price purchase order for a new 20-ton refrigerated closed-loop water chiller system to support transformer cooling during a reservoir drawdown. The system must circulate water at 120 gallons per minute, maintain a maximum cooled-water temperature of 80 degrees Fahrenheit across ambient temperatures from -20 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit, include a circulation pump, maintenance tank, integrated controls and sensors, and fit within a 20-foot by 14-foot clear-floor area. The chiller must meet specified refrigerant, safety, vibration-isolation, factory-testing, control, and commercial-product requirements. The quote must also cover a fused disconnect switch, 480-volt panelboard, 3-inch Schedule 40 carbon-steel pipe, flexible hoses, flanges, elbows, tees, valves, gaskets, bolts, nuts, washers, and an expansion joint. Equipment must be new and include FOB-destination delivery. Quotations must include pricing for every line item, descriptive cut sheets, drawings, ordering information, design and production test results, and all technical information required by the statement of work. Operation and maintenance manuals are required at delivery, including one hard copy and one electronic copy for each item. Delivery is required on or before March 1, 2027. Amendment 3 adds the requirement to submit the DFARS 252.225-7000 Buy American–Balance of Payments Program Certificate, permits qualifying-country and other foreign end products subject to the stated evaluation rules, and confirms that welded flanges and potable-water piping are acceptable where specified.
