Description
The City of El Cajon Parks & Recreation Department is seeking a contractor to produce, package, and deliver four quarterly Recreation Guides under RFQ No. 12700064R. Each guide is 40 pages, including the cover, with specified gloss paper, four-color printing, bleeds, UV-coated cover stock, saddle stitching, and trimmed binding. The City will provide production-ready files; the contractor must perform technical prepress checks and provide a blue line for approval before printing. Estimated quantities are 18,000 copies each for the Summer and Winter guides and 46,000 copies each for the Spring and Fall guides. Deliveries include City Hall and two El Cajon post offices, with bundling and distribution requirements. The contractor must meet five-business-day standard turnaround, two-business-day urgent turnaround, and one-business-day recovery after a qualifying production delay, and must submit a detailed logistics and production plan. The contract has an initial one-year term with four additional one-year renewal options. Subcontracting is permitted with prior written City consent. Quotes are awarded to the lowest responsible vendor, and the estimated bid value is $70,000.
