Description
The City of Cincinnati is soliciting bids for rehabilitation of approximately 2,350 linear feet of existing 96-inch- to 114-inch-diameter sewer using structural cementitious geopolymer lining. The work includes sewer cleaning, debris and heavy-encrustation removal, CCTV inspections, chemical grouting of leaking joints, bypass pumping and flow maintenance, lining of sewer conduits and manholes, abandonment of unused sewer segments, installation of a manhole vent, project signage, and site restoration. Bidders must submit unit prices and required bid forms, including the official bid form, bidder's affidavit, bid guaranty or certified check/letter of credit, addenda acknowledgment, WPCLF forms, and contractor qualification information. The bid guaranty is 10% of the bid amount, with a minimum of $500, and the bid schedule includes a $50,000 allowance for unforeseen sewer repairs. The project includes a 5.4% disadvantaged-business-enterprise participation goal and requires compliance with prevailing-wage, Davis-Bacon, Build America, Buy America, and American Iron and Steel provisions. Performance bonding, specified insurance, large-diameter geopolymer-lining experience, and installer certification are also required.
