Description
Sarasota County is soliciting quotes for the complete replacement of an approximately 66-foot-wide by 14-foot-6-inch aluminum awning at the Youth Athletic Complex baseball field office building. The work includes removal and disposal of remaining damaged components, fabrication and installation of a new aluminum canopy system with aluminum framing, EPS composite decking or approved equal, integrated gutter, powder-coated white frame, corrosion-resistant hardware, and foundations and anchoring designed for current Florida Building Code wind loads. The contractor must provide engineering coordination, signed and sealed engineering drawings as applicable, permits, inspections, labor, materials, equipment, supervision, site cleanup, and closeout documentation. The project must be completed within 90 days after receipt of the County purchase order. Bidders must provide at least two verifiable references for comparable aluminum awning, canopy, or exterior aluminum structure installations within the past seven years, including at least one governmental reference, and must hold an active qualifying Florida contractor license. The award is intended for the lowest responsive and responsible total bid, with a $150,000 maximum quote threshold per project or contract year.
