Description
The Vermont Department of Mental Health seeks one or more contractors to provide peer patient representative services for youth and adults in designated hospitals, River Valley Therapeutic Residence, Intensive Recovery Residential programs, and a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility. The scope includes recruiting, hiring, and supervising peer support providers; educating patients about their rights; advocating for patients; fostering communication; supporting self-advocacy; attending treatment meetings when requested; and providing individual or group peer support informed by Intentional Peer Support and Vermont's peer-support ethics standards. Representatives must work in person at assigned facilities, maintain strict confidentiality, comply with facility policies, complete required training and background checks, and support monthly and quarterly reporting. Proposals may cover only selected facilities, and the State may make multiple awards. The contract term is one year with up to four additional 12-month renewal periods. The solicitation requires responses through VTBuys and includes a completed questionnaire, one-year budget, proposed timeline, sample reporting, Certificate of Compliance, and at least two recent business references.
