The Town of Moretown is requesting bids for mowing and maintenance services at seven town cemeteries: Mountain View, Village, Common, Fairmont, Stevens, Jonesbrook, and Beldin. The contractor must furnish all equipment, fuel, materials, and labor, with topsoil supplied by the cemetery commissioners. Services include mowing and trimming around monuments and fences, keeping stones free of cut grass, mowing before burials when notified, removing unusually long grass, twice-monthly trash removal from the Mountain View Cemetery bin, spring cleanup, and filling sunken graves with topsoil and seed as needed. The anticipated service period runs from May 2027 through mid-November 2030, with work generally commencing in mid-May and continuing through mid-October. All cemeteries must be mowed and trimmed three days before Memorial Day. The contractor must provide required insurance, including workers' compensation insurance, and a certificate of insurance listing the Town of Moretown as loss payee. Sealed bids must include itemized per-mowing and annual pricing for each cemetery, as well as total annual and three-year pricing.
