Description
The State of Utah is soliciting an approved archaeology vendor to conduct cultural resources work for the Wild Goose Fire project in Millard County. The scope includes a cultural resources literature review and background research for a 2,049.5-acre area of potential effect, a Class II pedestrian archaeological inventory using 30-meter transects across approximately 1,443.1 acres, and revisits and updates to previously recorded archaeological sites in the Past Adequate Survey Area. The contractor must document newly identified and previously recorded resources, evaluate resources for National Register of Historic Places eligibility, and provide recommendations with supporting justifications. The work also includes rolling consultation reporting after each field session, Utah Archaeological Site Forms, BLM and Utah State Historic Preservation Office-compliant reports and data files, GIS shapefiles, tabular data, photographs, and draft and final deliverables. Principal investigators, field directors, and crew chiefs must hold the specified BLM and Utah permits, and fieldwork must be performed by qualified, permit-listed personnel. The project is a lump-sum engagement with no paper reporting required; the PDF bid response must include the company name, contract number, applicable permit information, proposed key personnel, critical assumptions, lump-sum price, and applicable per-acre rates.
