Description
Salt Lake City Corporation is soliciting competitive sealed bids for as-needed remanufactured transmission replacement and repair services for automobiles and light trucks in the City fleet. The contractor must provide OEM-part remanufactured transmissions, remove and install units, perform diagnostics and inspections, provide written findings and recommendations, supply all labor, tools, equipment, transportation, materials, and incidental services, and pick up and return vehicles from designated City locations. Regular replacements must be completed within 48 hours, and emergency requests within 24 hours. The contractor must obtain written approval of an itemized quote before beginning work, provide diagnostic results and published price-list information, and warrant transmissions and services for at least one year or 12,000 miles, as applicable. Bidders must submit the required cover sheet, completed cost sheet, and published price lists or a website link to them; confidentiality materials are required only when claiming business confidentiality. The contract term is five years, and award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
