Description
Pasadena Area Community College District is soliciting proposals from experienced subsurface utility engineering and mapping contractors for work at the Colorado Campus in Pasadena, the Foothill Campus in Pasadena, and the Rosemead Center in Rosemead. The scope includes records research; locating, identifying, tracing, and potholing underground water, storm drain, sewer, chilled water, natural gas, electrical, telecommunications, fiber-optic, tunnel, conduit, and manhole systems; and producing survey-grade horizontal and vertical locations in accordance with ASCE 38-22. Respondents must hold active California Professional Civil Engineer and Professional Land Surveyor licenses and an active California A-General Engineering contractor license, and must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. Required deliverables include a GIS database, AutoCAD and Civil 3D files, campus utility base maps and printable atlases, geotagged photographs, survey-control information, and a signed and sealed final report. The proposal must include a methodology, project team and resumes, relevant experience and references, schedule, fee schedule, insurance capability letter, comments on the sample agreement, certifications, and the listed mandatory forms and attachments. Field work must begin within seven calendar days after notice to proceed, and deliverables are due within 180 calendar days after field work is completed. Payment and performance bonds are required for projects exceeding $25,000.
