Description
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is seeking certified Small Business Enterprises to provide expert professional field inspection services for firestopping and fireproofing work at Authority facilities and construction sites on a call-in basis. Services may include verifying approved firestop systems and fireproofing assemblies, observing installation work, recording measurements, conducting witnessed or destructive inspections, preparing daily inspection reports, and issuing punch lists or non-conformance reports. Inspections must follow specified standards, including ASTM E2174, ASTM E2393, ASTM E736, ASTM E605, AWCI Technical Manuals 12-A and 12-B, and SSPC-PA2 where applicable. The prime firm must use the provided proposal template and forms, demonstrate required staff qualifications and recent project experience, and submit an MBE/WBE/SDVOB participation plan and cost information. The Authority may retain multiple firms, and future services will be requested through task-order solicitations. Required insurance includes commercial general liability and automobile liability of $2 million, statutory workers’ compensation with specified employers’ liability limits, and professional liability of at least $1 million per claim.
